Going on a Mission =)

So I know that I have not been posting any entries on this blog.  I would say that I have just been so busy that I had absolutely no time.  While I have been busy, there was still time to write entries every now and then.  I hope that I will start wring entries when I get back from my mission.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I have the great opportunity to go on a mission and serve others for a year and a half.  I will help to bring them unto Christ and love and serve them in any way I can. I received my mission call a few months ago and since then I have been getting things ready to leave.  I am going to the Guatemala, Guatemala City South Mission and I report to the Guatemala MTC   ( Missionary Training Center) on February 6th.
Since I will be leaving I am going to have a blog for my mission while I am gone, that my family will update.  They will post emails and pictures on there for others to see that I email to them.  It will also have my address and ways for people to know how to send me letter and packages.
I am excited for this time in my life and everything that will follow.  I promise to write on here when I get back.  See ya :)

Hello!!!!

So...I have never done this before, but I have decided to start a blog.  I figure it will be a good way to share the experiences I have now and later on. To begin, I figure I might tell you a little about me.  I am a 20 year old single girl. I go to school at Brigham Young University(BYU) and I am a sophomore there.  I am majoring in Human Development, and I want to be a child life specialist(working in hospitals with kids with cancer and their families), and an amazing mother when I am older.  A little before coming to BYU, I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  I had been learning about the church for a year and a half before this.  In case you didn't read the about me on the side, it has been the BEST decision I have ever made.  The LDS church helps me to know why I am on earth and what our Heavenly Fathers plan for us is.

Just like anyone else, I have experienced many trials in my life.  When I was a little kid, my parents got divorced, in high school my little sister passed away from cancer...etc.  Those are just some of the big trials but I continue to deal with a lot of trials today as well.  I figure this blog will be about the good, bad, funny, sad, wonderful, and tragic events in my life.  I will talk about school, boys, adventures, family, just anything and everything.

I hope that while this blog will show the day to day events in my life, it will also show how blessed we are in this life.  I am so grateful for everything that I have been given.  Even when we have a hard time, our Heavenly Father blesses us and those blessing are given more abundantly than the trials.  I know that as I grow and learn on this earth, I am preparing for the life to come.  I am continually striving to be the best that I can be.  While I am not perfect, I always want to be progressing towards perfection, and show love and respect to all those around me.

Well, I hope that you enjoy my blog.  As I learn and grow, I hope you continue to do the same.  Our Heavenly Father loves us and He will help us along the way.  Just have faith in Him!!!!
